Father you have said that "greater love hath no man then this.

That a man lay down his life for his friends.  15:13 (NIV)

Father, the law enforcement officer, no matter what the particular title he works under has chosen a profession where he will live this verse daily.  He has chosen to be his brother's keeper, knowing that he will not be appreciated, will be criticized and will be held to a higher standard then even those who make the very laws he is tasked to enforce.

Give him courage Lord, that he might always stand for what is true, right and good...even when it means he must stand alone.

Give him courage Lord, to conquer his own fear and to take him where others will not go.

Give him strength Lord, to protect others and strength of spirit to lead others.

Let his heart not be hardened by the evil that he must deal with daily Lord, but let him always have compassion for those he is sworn to protect and who need him.

Keep him faithful Lord, faithful  to his family, his job, his community, and most of all  you Lord.

We pray heavenly Father that he will never be alone, because you will ever be at his side to protect, comfort and  guide him.

We ask all this things, in the name if our Lord, Jesus Christ.
